Consider this a public-service announcement. With Monday fast approaching, consumers are losing time to schedule their credit-card payments before it’s too late. If your payment is due on Monday (a holiday), you may need to schedule your payment today or tomorrow at the latest. Some card issuers are bad when it comes to online payments. Some card issuers, in fact, do not credit accounts on the same day that customers make payments, which means that I have to write little notes like this to my readers. Anyhow, here’s the bottom line. If you have a payment that’s due on Monday, you’d do well to make that payment now.And while I have you, if you’re a Washington Mutual credit-card customer don’t forget that the WaMu Web site will be unavailable March 4 through March 8.
